So after a long wait, here's the last part of this first little story. I've already got the next part written, which picks up right after this one, but not in the way you might think. I'm going to try and delay posting much until I've got more done, to try and avoid a long wait like this again.

Hey everybody! As my early Christmas gift I thought I'd give the banner panel from the next strip. Sorry this has taken so long, and thank you for sticking with me here. I didn't expect to be so busy going into the holiday season, and as well all know this is already a busy time as it is. The next strip, which concludes this little chapter of the story, is a double-sized strip, just like the old Hal Foster Tarzan Sundays. I was hoping to have it posted by today, but again things are a little hectic. It should be done in the next week though. So hopefully the silly visual gag I pulled here will make you want to come back to see more. Happy Holidays everybody!

Quick interruption - Li'l F. Scoctopus

All month long, my friend Matt Kaufenberg has been doing an Octopus themed sketch every day. He finished out the month yesterday with the above sketch of F. Scoctopus Fitzgerald as a little kid. That sailor suit is brilliant. I've already told Matt that in the event that I write a F. Scoctopus spin-off, I'm pulling him in to draw it for me. Thanks Matt!

Thanks for your patience, folks. I've been working hard on introducing a new format for 1990 Gettysburg and how to ease into that. Abe loves you all.

Hey all, just wanted to jump in and give a quick update. After a month of moving and traveling, I'm stuck back in the studio. While I've got a lot going on right now (which you can read about here) I'm committed to bringing back Abe Lincoln and Lil' whats-his-face on some kind of schedule. So keep your eyes peeled, I should be back with some cartoons soon. Thanks for sticking with me!Abraham Lincoln and guys he owed some money.

A New Deal

So I'll strike a deal with you guys. Clearly, I'm a lot more busy than I expected to be as I finish up on other deadlines, and my wife and I prepare for a move to Colorado at the end of the month. I just haven't been able to find the time in the day to work on the panels for this. When I first started working on these, my original plan was to build up about a month's worth of these, so I wouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing. Of course, I got all excited and just started posting them everyday. I really appreciate you guys coming here and checking these out, while I try my best not to blatantly rip off Adam Koford and Kate Beaton every day.

So what's the new deal? I'll be moving to Colorado on July 31st, and then (hopefully) I'll be attending Wizard World Chicago the weekend after. Once I get back from that, I should be able to start settling back into a schedule that will allow me to work on these again soon after. I am absolutely committed to continuing with Lil' Evan and Abe, because I'm having too much fun writing them. In the meantime, thanks for your patience. Hopefully we'll be able to get back to me not writing anything here sooner than you think.

Only a very slight delay

Sorry about the delay everybody. I had a couple different deadlines to catch up on this week, and that coupled with the scanner problems I've been having , I just didn't get around to finishing the cartoons this week. I will be making up this whole last week though, so keep an eye out in the next couple of days for updates. Thanks again for your patience!
